Developer Diary #2 — What SyntForge Can Already Do

When you're building a platform almost entirely on your own, it's easy to feel like progress is invisible. Every day is spent fixing bugs, writing code, redesigning interfaces, configuring servers, and integrating new services...

Only after looking back do you realize how much has actually been accomplished.

Today I'd like to share the features that are already available on SyntForge.

🚀 Fast Registration

A great experience starts with a simple registration process.

That's why you can already sign up using:

• Google

• Yandex

• Email & Password

• You can also link all of these accounts together and sign in using whichever method is most convenient.

No lengthy forms or unnecessary steps—just a few clicks and you're ready to start creating.

🎨 AI Creator Portfolio

The main goal of SyntForge is to help creators showcase their work.

Every user can already build a personal portfolio and upload:

• Images

• Videos

• Blog articles

The interesting part happens after you upload your content.

For images, the platform automatically generates optimized thumbnails.

For videos, SyntForge automatically:

• uploads files to the streaming server;

• transcodes videos into multiple resolutions;

• prepares adaptive streaming;

• generates preview thumbnails.

Creators don't have to worry about video encoding or file conversion—they simply upload their work.

👤 Public Profile

Every user receives a public profile page.

It includes:

• creator information;

• avatar;

• biography;

• skills;

• published works;

• articles;

• achievements.

In other words, it already works as a professional online portfolio that you can share with clients, studios, or collaborators.

⚙️ Dashboard & Profile Management

In addition to the public profile, every user has a personal dashboard where they can fully manage their account and content.

Currently you can:

• edit your profile description;

• choose and change your username;

• update work descriptions;

• delete your works;

• manage all published content.

This makes it easy to keep your portfolio up to date as your work evolves.

🔍 Discover Creators

SyntForge is more than just a place to publish your work.

You can already browse other creators' profiles, explore their portfolios, and discover their skills.

In the future, this section will evolve into a powerful talent discovery platform for AI creators.

👥 Teams

Most AI projects aren't built by one person.

That's why SyntForge already includes team functionality.

Users can:

• create teams;

• invite members;

• manage participants;

• use an internal team chat;

• participate in challenges and projects together.

This is one of the key building blocks of the future SyntForge ecosystem.

🏆 Challenges & Competitions

SyntForge already includes a fully functional challenge system.

Challenges are also a great way to expand your portfolio with work created around specific creative prompts.

The current system includes:

• dedicated challenge pages;

• work submissions;

• moderation;

• anonymous participation (Blind Review);

• community voting;

• jury voting;

• automatic winner selection;

• once anonymous voting is over, approved entries are published to the creators' portfolios.

I want competitions to be as fair and transparent as possible, so this area receives a lot of attention.

💬 Direct Messaging

Communication is already built into the platform.

Users can:

• send private messages;

• chat with their teammates;

• discuss projects without leaving the platform.

No need to switch to external messengers to collaborate.

✍️ Blog

SyntForge already has its own blogging platform.

Creators can publish articles, share their workflows, experiments, and creative discoveries.

This is also where future Developer Diary posts will be published.

🏅 Achievement System

I decided to add a little bit of gamification to the project. 🙂

Every action on the platform can earn you achievements.

Right now you can unlock rewards for:

• publishing works;

• participating in challenges;

• being active in the community;

• receiving likes.

There are also a few hidden achievements that will only reveal themselves once you've met the required conditions. 😉

And yes—many more achievements are already planned.

💼 Client Area

One of the newest additions is the Client section.

Companies can already:

• create a company profile;

• prepare for publishing projects;

• manage their own page.

The next major milestone is a complete project marketplace where clients can find and hire AI creators.

🌍 This Is Just the Beginning

Even though the platform is already fully usable, this is only the foundation.

Upcoming updates will focus on:

• a project marketplace;

• creator hiring;

• smarter creator discovery;

• expanded team collaboration;

• notifications;

• new AI-powered tools;

• more challenges and community events.

Almost every week, something new is added to the platform.
