Challenge Rules
Last updated: July 4, 2026
General rules for participating in SyntForge challenges. Any specific challenge may have additional terms — these are listed on the challenge page.
## 1. Challenge types
- **Daily** — a short 3-day cycle, the winner is determined by audience voting.
- **Standard** — top 3 by jury score plus a separate "Audience Favorite" award based on likes.
- **Pro** — jury scoring only, no public voting (for more serious categories).
## 2. How to participate
1. Open the challenge page and click "Participate"
2. Read and accept the specific challenge's rules
3. Upload your work via the upload wizard
4. A moderator reviews the submission — once approved, the work is published and enters the challenge
Each author may submit only one work per challenge.
## 3. Blind jury
Until voting ends, the jury only sees the media, title, and tags of a work — not the author's name. This removes bias from scoring.
## 4. Audience voting
- One vote for the whole challenge (not per work) — per account
- You can only vote for someone else's work
- The account must be older than 48 hours OR have at least one published work
- Audience voting is not available for Pro challenges
These measures guard against vote manipulation by bots or new fake accounts.
## 5. Results and prizes
- Until the challenge ends, the entry list and votes are hidden (see Blind Review) — this protects against collusion
- Results determined by the system are final; disqualification is possible if violations are found, even after winners are announced
- Prize types and terms are listed on the specific challenge page
