Terms of Service

Last updated: July 4, 2026 (rev. 2)

By using SyntForge ("the platform"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. ## 1. What SyntForge is SyntForge is a platform for AI creators, producers, and media professionals: publishing work, challenges, portfolios, and team discovery. ## 2. Registration and account - Sign-in is done via Google or Yandex (OAuth). - You must provide accurate profile information and must not impersonate another person. - You are responsible for actions taken through your account. ## 3. Rights to uploaded content - By uploading a work, you confirm you hold the rights to it (or the necessary permissions, including rights to any AI models/datasets used). - **You retain copyright over your content** to the extent copyright can legally arise for AI-assisted content — in some jurisdictions, purely AI-generated content without human creative input may not be eligible for copyright protection; this does not affect the license below. - By publishing a work on the platform, you grant SyntForge a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license, with the right to sublicense to the extent needed by our technical partners (e.g. Bunny.net for CDN delivery), to: - display, store, and deliver the work as part of the platform's features (gallery, profile, challenges, feed); - reproduce, adapt (cropping, thumbnails, collages), and use the work in SyntForge's marketing and promotional materials, including the platform's own social media accounts, advertising campaigns, and press materials — for the purpose of promoting the platform. - For works that win or place in challenges, this license expressly includes the right to publish such works as part of covering the challenge results (winner showcases, promo posts, newsletters) without further approval from the author. - Where reasonably practical and the material features a single author's work, we credit the author (by username/display name) when using it in marketing materials. In combined materials featuring multiple works (collages, digests), individual attribution is not guaranteed. - Deleting a work or your account ends the license for future use, but does not require us to remove marketing materials (social media posts, etc.) already published before the deletion date. - We may remove content that violates these terms or third-party rights (see the "DMCA" section below). ## 4. Rights to works created for challenges - Unless a specific challenge's or event's rules state otherwise, by submitting a work to a challenge you assign to SyntForge all right, title, and interest in that work, including (to the extent applicable and legally possible) any exclusive copyright associated with it. If full assignment of rights is not possible in your jurisdiction for any reason, you instead grant an exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use the work in any manner. - Some challenges or events are run on behalf of third parties (sponsors, brands, platform partners). In that case, the specific challenge's rules will expressly state that rights to participants' works belong to that third party — the challenge's commissioning party — rather than to SyntForge. The specific challenge's rules take priority over this general clause. - This assignment of rights applies only to works submitted specifically to a challenge — regular portfolio/gallery publications remain governed by the license in §3 above, and copyright (to the extent applicable) remains with the author. - This assignment does not deprive the author of the right to be credited as the work's author on the work's page and profile — authorship and name attribution are preserved regardless of who holds the rights to use the work. - Despite the assignment of rights to the platform, a challenge work remains in the author's portfolio on SyntForge (the work's page, the author's profile, the gallery) — the rights assignment does not result in removing the work from the site and does not restrict its display as part of the author's portfolio, unless a specific challenge's rules state otherwise (for example, for challenges commissioned by third parties, the commissioning party may require restricting public display). ## 5. Rules of conduct Prohibited: - Publishing others' content without rights, plagiarism - Harassment, bullying, discrimination - Spam, artificially inflating likes/votes/views - Circumventing challenge anti-fraud mechanisms (multiple accounts, vote collusion) - 18+/NSFW material without proper labeling (see also specific challenge rules) ## 6. Moderation All works go through moderation before publishing. A moderator may reject a work, remove a comment, or suspend an account for rule violations. Moderation decisions can be appealed by writing to **info@syntforge.com**. ## 7. Challenges - Participating in a challenge means agreeing to that challenge's specific rules (type, deadlines, jury/audience voting criteria — see the challenge page). - Results determined by the system (jury, voting, anti-fraud checks) are final. - The platform may disqualify a participant for rule violations (plagiarism, vote manipulation) even after results are announced. - Prize terms and types are listed on the specific challenge page. ## 8. AI content — disclaimer SyntForge is a venue for publishing AI-generated content. We do not verify or guarantee that uploaded content complies with the licenses of the AI tools used — this is the responsibility of the publishing author. ## 9. DMCA — copyright infringement notices We respect intellectual property rights and respond promptly to valid copyright infringement complaints. Although SyntForge is not incorporated as a US company, we voluntarily follow a notice-and-takedown procedure in the spirit of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) as an industry best practice. **How to submit a notice (Take-Down Notice).** If you believe material on the platform infringes your copyright, send a written notice to **info@syntforge.com** marked "DMCA", including: 1. An electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative. 2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. 3. The exact URL of the material on SyntForge that infringes your rights. 4. Your contact information (email, and if available, address and phone number). 5. A statement of good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. 6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf. Upon receiving a complete and properly formatted notice, we will promptly restrict access to or remove the disputed material. **Counter-Notice.** If you believe your material was removed by mistake, you may submit a counter-notice to info@syntforge.com identifying the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury of your good faith belief that the removal was a mistake, your contact information, and consent to the applicable jurisdiction. Following review, the material may be restored. **Repeat infringers.** We may suspend the account of a user against whom valid copyright infringement complaints have been repeatedly confirmed. ## 10. Limitation of liability The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation and are not liable for losses arising from use of the platform, to the extent permitted by law. ## 11. Changes and termination of access We may change the platform's functionality and, for serious violations, restrict or terminate a user's access without prior notice. ## 12. Changes to these terms For significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this document and notify users on the site. ## 13. Contact For questions about these terms: **info@syntforge.com**
