Privacy Policy

SyntForge ("we", "the platform") respects your privacy. This document explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. ## 1. What data we collect - **Account data**: email, username, display name, avatar, bio, skills, social links, location — provided at signup and in profile settings. - **Google/Yandex sign-in data**: if you sign in via OAuth, we receive your email, name, and avatar from the provider to create your profile. - **Content you upload**: works (videos/images), descriptions, tags, comments, challenge entries. - **Interaction data**: likes, follows, challenge votes, jury scores. - **Technical data**: IP address and browser data automatically processed by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and operation of the site. ## 2. Why we collect it - Creating and running your account, sign-in - Publishing and displaying your content to other users - Platform features: likes, follows, challenges, comments, achievements - Content moderation and abuse prevention (voting anti-fraud) - Contacting you about your account We do not use your data for third-party advertising and do not sell it. ## 3. Who we share data with We only share data with services that technically power the platform: - **Supabase** — database storage and authentication - **Bunny.net** — image and video storage and delivery (CDN, video transcoding) - **Google / Yandex** — as sign-in (OAuth) providers, if you chose that method - **Vercel** — application hosting - **Google Analytics** — web analytics (traffic, on-site behavior), enabled only with your consent — see the "Cookies" section below We do not share data with ad networks and do not use your data for personalized advertising. ## 4. How long we keep data Data is kept while your account is active. Upon account deletion (see §5), data is deleted within a reasonable time, except where the law requires longer retention. ## 5. Your rights - Edit your profile data — in [Settings](/dashboard/settings) - Request a copy of your data - Delete your account yourself — in [Settings](/dashboard/settings), "Danger Zone" section. After requesting deletion you have 14 days to restore it (just sign in and click "Restore") — after that period, the account and data are permanently deleted. You can also email **info@syntforge.com** ## 6. Age restrictions The platform is not intended for users under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data without parental consent, please contact us. ## 7. Security We use secure connections (HTTPS), database-level access policies (Row Level Security), and do not store passwords — sign-in is handled via trusted OAuth providers. ## 8. Cookies We use strictly necessary cookies: to maintain your login session and remember your interface theme/language — these can't be disabled, the site won't work correctly without them. With your consent, we also use **Google Analytics** cookies — they help us understand how visitors use the site and improve the platform. On your first visit you'll see a banner with an "Accept"/"Decline" choice; analytics is only enabled after you accept, and you can turn it off at any time by clearing your browser cookies. Data collected by Google Analytics is processed under [Google's privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy). We do not use advertising cookies. ## 9.
